Our Story
We are a hockey family, I have 3 boys who play, I am a late night warrior, and my wife is a team manager.
As a manager one of her roles involves scheduling non-league games. Telephone tag, and endless emails are required to complete the schedule. Trade off's between how far to travel and how many times to play the locals need to be made. Scheduling could be time consuming and frustrating. And, I thought I can fix this.
So I built a system that addressed these issues.Furthermore, this system provided a great way for players, parents and organizations to keep up with their schedules. Unfortunately, when I was done I figured out that it only really works if lots and lots of teams use it. As a result I went directly to the organizations.
After many discussions it occurred to me that master schedulers and leagues face their own set of challenges when it comes to scheduling. Left with the choice of scrapping my work or building a product that met the master schedulers and leagues needs, I chose the latter.
We then added lots of features, to meet their needs. Features, such as ways to quickly and easily add their ice slots, assign and reassign their ice slots, electronically schedule games, and track their schedules.
The program continues to evolve as we incorporate ideas from schedulers around the country. Our sport is built by volunteers, and people that do things for the love of the game as opposed to the money. We are proud to offer this technology to you for free.
